The Wharf House, a beautiful waterfront reserve property overlooking Lake Munmorah, is truly breathtaking. It offers fabulous winter sun and summer shade. A modern, comfortable beach house inspires relaxation and calm.

The whole house is built on a wooden jetty to complement its position. It is a waterfront reserve, and the beach is across the road from the dune. Many locals go across the road and take the beaten track for a swim (about 200 metres), but for the faint-hearted, it is a 10-minute walk to the closest formal beach access with lifesavers. The beach is 8 Kilometres long and stunning. The house gets great sea breezes but is protected from the extreme winds that can come with the beachfront.

The house has a king room, a queen room, and a huge bunk room. There is also a very large wooden deck upstairs, which is used for dining.

It has two bathrooms upstairs and a wet room downstairs with a shower for washing off sand. Next to the bathroom is a large laundry with a washer and a dryer. A vast elevated deck at the back has a table and BBQ.

The lake is great for all water sports, including boating, skiing, kayaking, jet skiing, fishing, and prawning. The house has a double garage with rear access to the lake. Boating equipment is easily moved to the water's edge. There are boat ramps nearby and plenty of parking for a trailer.

The lakefront reserve is also a bird sanctuary, and the following birds may be seen regularly: Rainbow Lorikeets, Galahs, Rozella's, Pink and White Cockatoos, Top knots, Water Fowl, Swans, Herons, Butcher Birds, Mo Ducks, Pelicans, Bush Turkeys, Kookaburras.

We also spotted Black cockatoos, Kestrels & Sea eagles.

LOCATION
Budgewoi is undiscovered and great for people who want to see authentic Australia. It is 90 minutes from Sydney CBD by car. The house is architecturally designed as a holiday house for two families (sleeps up to 8). It is purpose-built and faces the lake (Lake Munmorah). The house completely turns its back on the road.
If you want to swim between the flags (supervised by a lifesaver and safer for overseas tourists), it is a 10-minute walk from the front door to the beach entrance. However, like all Australian beaches, it is not manned all year round. Apart from swimming, this is one of the best fishing beaches in NSW.
There are dozens of beaches and picnic spots nearby.
Budgewoi town is cute and has all your shopping needs covered. There are lots of great fish and chips. There are also lots of larger shopping centres nearby.
